andycamfilms is Andy Leonard-Lighting Cameraman, Camera-Director and Photographer.

I have over 20 years experience in Studio and Location filming including Multi camera work, Studio, OB and PSC.

I originally worked for the BBC in Bristol and since 1993 have been freelancing in the film and TV industry.

Polecam. A Monster POV from Dr Who

I worked on 2nd unit on Dr Who on both series 1 and 2 of the new look Drama, using my own polecam rig, as the monsters POV.

 

Steadi On Films = Steadicam.

There are now a number of Steadicam’s and Steadicam clones out there following the release of Garrett Browns original patent on his design for the steadicam Mk1. This grip gear which was orginally used on ‘The Shinning’, is now used on countless productions, from feature films and TV to Corporate Promo .

Andy At Wembly for the FA Cup.

The important thing to remember about steadicam is that it is just another piece of grip equipment and not always the best replacement for the good old track and dolly.
